Song of the Day: Katie Sky - Paradise
A few bloggers have posted about Katie Sky’s new single Sweet Sweet Melody recently, but personally I much prefer another of her original tracks, Paradise. Katie, who signed with an independent label after building a fanbase on YouTube, sings quirky singer-songwriter pop which is a bit Kate Nash but mostly avoids being on the annoying side of twee. Paradise has a good strong pace to it and Katie sings it very well. Most YouTube singers’ original compositions are dire but this is a promising start.
