Song of the Day: Faye - Water Against the Rocks
Swedish electro-pop singer Faye has history: 1) She was in the girlband Play, who covered lots of British pop songs and made the occasional poptastic original and 2) She used to be called Fanny! When she got a deal with a UK indie label that was swiftly changed for obvious reasons. Her first single as Faye is Water Against the Rocks, which will appeal to fans of cute but cool Swedish pop girls like Tove Styrke and Amanda Mair. I love her emotional delivery and there’s just something about this song which keeps me coming back to it. Faye plays her first UK gig at Hoxton Square Bar this month - see you down the front requesting her version of Whole Again?
