Song of the Day: School Gyrls - I’m Not Just a Girl
When they introduced LA Reid on The X Factor, they forgot to mention the teen musical film he was executive producer of, School Gyrls… maybe because it has an incredible 1.5/10 rating on IMDB, the lowest I’ve ever seen! I watched it anyway and it wasn’t that bad (well, at least a 2!) and there were even some quite good songs in it, including this one which was released as a single. Amazingly the group School Gyrls, who the film was supposed to be a vehicle for, still exist, albeit with only one original member remaining. The new School Gyrls, now a five-piece, can be seen in the recent Nickelodeon TV movie about the Korean girl band The Wonder Girls.
